The laser targets hair follicles that are in the growth phase, which is why laser hair removal needs to be repeated several times—typically 6-8 sessions are required. These sessions should be repeated every 4-5 weeks for facial areas or every 5-7 weeks for body areas. Completing the full course ensures long-lasting results. After each session, hair regrows more slowly, becoming thinner and lighter.

The majority of hair removed by laser is permanently eliminated. However, some pigment-free hairs may darken and develop pigment after a few years, and new follicles may form over time. Therefore, maintenance sessions are recommended. These sessions can be scheduled as needed, ideally once or twice a year, to ensure optimal results are maintained.
